Drunk Elephant T.L.C. Sukari Babyfacial - Review

Has there ever been a product you felt like everyone was using and it made you want to try it out to see if the hype was real? For me that product was the Drunk Elephant T.L.C. Sukari Baby Facial Mask.

Before I start this review I would like to have a moment of silence as I just finished a bottle of the Baby Facial. I’ve been using the mask for the past 6 months and it’s honestly one of my favorites from Drunk Elephant along with it being one of my favorite masks in my collection. If you’ve read some of my other blog posts, you may have noticed that I mask 3-5 times per week rotating different types of masks. (For more details on masking)

REVIEW

As recommended by the directions, I typically use the T.L.C. Sukari Babyfacial Mask once a week. I love using it on Sunday’s as fresh reset of my skin to start the week. What initially interested me in the mask was the idea of an at home facial as I’m not able to get professional facials on a regular basis. In the texture shot picture above you can see that the mask is a yellow color and the texture is of a light cream consistency.

Prior to each use of the mask I used a light cleanser to ensure that my skin was clean, but not over stripped. The first time I used the mask I noticed that I did feel a mild tingling sensation within the first couple of minutes, but it quickly subsided.

If you feel like you’re skin is super sensitive, do a patch test on a small area prior to applying the mask all over your face.

The mask has a faint smell to it, but it’s not unpleasant. After removing the mask I I follow up immediately with the Drunk Elephant Virgin Marula Luxury Facial Oil and moisturizer. The oil is light weight, hydrating and contains antioxidant benefits. On other occasions after the mask I followed-up with my regular toner, essence and the Virgin Marula Luxury Oil and moisturizer. Both ways have lead to my skin feeling baby smooth after (now I see where the name came from).

Not only does the Sukari Baby Facial mask leave my skin smooth, it also helps me to achieve a healthy glow and along with helping to keep my pores clean. There’s not many masks on the market that you can see a noticeable change immediately after using it, but with the T.L.C Sukari Babyfacial you can! I’ve used the mask on days when my skin was clear and even on days when my skin was problematic (skin irritations) and the mask performed each and every time the same way leaving my skin smooth and clear.

I never thought I would even be willing to spend this much on a mask. The mask is only recommended to be used once a week and only about a quarter size of product is needed to cover the face, the mask will last several months. The full size of the mask also comes with the Drunk Elephant Virgin Marula oil (picture below) to use in connection with the mask. With that being said the mask is worth the price!
