TOP 5: Winter Beauty Handbag Essentials

When I’m out and on the go there’s a few must haves that I must have with me at all times. I was able to narrow down my everyday essentials for the Winter down to 5 categories. Many of the items often get rotated in and out, but the categories remain the same.

The items featured in the post are brought with me daily to work, on the weekend and all can fit in my mini weekend handbags. If you’re interested in seeing my winter Beauty Handbag Essentials, please keep reading.

Beauty Essentials for the Winter

1-Facial Mist

I never understood the hype around facial mists, but as I learned more about the needs of my skin, I began to understand how important water base hydration is for my skin. Being that I have normal to oily that is dehydrated, my skin needs hydration throughout the day. I find that some mists tend to make my skin appear to look shiny or oily. Luckily the Caudalie Beauty Elixir and the Tower 28 Beauty mists have been great for my skin.

I love that both come in a travel size, which makes them easy to carry around in my make-up bag. I tend to leave the Tower 28 mini mist on my desk at work and I spritz this onto my face 1-2x during my work shift. The Caudalie elixir has been a favorite of mine for years and I tend to travel with it. It’s my go to spritz to use while flying.

You don’t need to purchase these mists and there’s more affordable options on the market. I just urge you to pay attention to the ingredients in the mist that you decide to use. Less is usually more.

Tower 28 Beauty SOS Save.Our.Skin Daily Rescue Facial Spray Mini: Price: $12 for 1oz

Caudalie Beauty Elixir: Price:$18 for 1oz

2- Travel Oil

A mini oil is a perfect addition to any handbag or makeup bag. My number one tip is to find one that seals well to avoid spills in your bag. Believe me, you don’t want an oil spilling in your handbag! The Drunk Elephant Marula Mini Oil is one of my favorites for travel. The oil is light weight and provides a sufficient amount of hydration. I love that it’s an oil that can be used on my face, cuticles or anywhere else.

Drunk Elephant Marula Oil: *for travel I prefer the minis from Littles Kit or from their other Mini Kits

3-Moisturizer/Cream

I’ve been using the FAB Multi-fix salve for a little over a month now and it’s been my winter lifesaver.

The salve is described as a head to toe all in one balm. The formula is made with colloidal oatmeal, hemp seed oil and avocado oil. First Aid Beauty is known for having great clean ingredients. The formula itself is a solid salve that solidifies once it’s rubbed into the skin.

I love that it is fragrance free I feel comfortable with using this on delicate areas like my face. I tend to use the salve on my hands since they get so dry during the winter temperatures. A little of the salve goes a long way and I love that it doesn’t leave my hands feeling greasy. I’ve traveled with this salve and I’ve used it on dry patches on my face, cuticles and on the heels of my feet.

First Aid Beauty  Pharma Oat & Hemp Multi-Fix Salve Price: $34 for 1.5oz *

Disclaimer: I was gifted the item, but I do stand my thoughts on this. I’ve tried many other salves and this one happens to be one of the pricey ones but being that I love the formula and I feel comfortable using it on my face, this is my go to choice.

4- Lip Balm

A good lip balm is a must for your handbag, but it’s even more important during the winter when the air is dry. I am a proud lip product hoarder, so I typically carry around 7-10 lip products at a given time. Listed below are some of my favs at the moment.

Fresh Beauty Sugar Lemon Hydrating Lip Balm  Price: $18

The Fresh Lip Balm is one of my favorite lip balms. I love how flat the packaging it is and I feel the size makes it easier to hit in pockets and even small make-up bags. I’m usually not a fan of lip products that require me to dip my finger into the product, but I’m absolutely obsessed with the scent of the lip balm and I like how my lips feel after using it.

Kosas Lip Oil Price: $27

Wander Beauty Lip RETreat Price: $22

The Kosas Lip Oil (pictured in JellyFish) and the Wander Beauty Lip Treat both provide a great level of shine. I love that after the formula wears off on both, my lips still very moisturized.

5- Hand Sanitizer

Touchland Hand Sanitizer

Price: $12

I rarely leave the house without a hand- sanitizer. Living in the city and being exposed to many germs on a given day, hand sanitizer is a must. I’ve been enjoying the Touchland Hand Sanitizers for almost the past year. The brand makes both scented and unscented versions of the hand sanitizer and I love that it sprays. The scent featured is the Watermelon and it’s my favorite that I’ve tried thus far.

Bonus: You may have noticed that sunscreen was featured, but not mentioned and that because it’s something that is always with me!

I would love to know what are some of your winter beauty handbag essentials.
