Caudalie: Vinoperfect SOS Serum Review
I wanted to feature some of my new favorite products that #mycaudaliegifted me. The Caudalie SOS Hydration Set Caudalie SOS Hydration Set retails for $59 and is targeted for those with normal to dry skin textures. The set includes minis of the well known Beauty Elixir Mist and the Newly Popular SOS Intense Moisturizing cream along with the full size of the SOS Deep Hydration Serum. The Vinosource Serum has to be one of the standout products that I’ve tried from Caudalie and what sparked me to expand upon my review!
I was not paid or requested to do this review. I enjoy these products and thought I would share my experience using them.

The Beauty Elixir (1 oz mini) has been one of my favorite Caudalie products for years. Since discovering it, I’ve always kept a mini in my skincare collection. I love that the elixir can be used in so many steps throughout the beauty routine. Many people use it as a toner, make-up setting mist, or just as a refresher. I love using this as a mist –especially when flying to combat the dry recycled air conditions.
Vinosource SOS Deep Hydration Serum 1 oz full size- this serum is oil free and formulated with Hyaluronic acid. (will discuss more in detail)
Vinosource SOS Intense Moisturizing Cream is thick! The cream deeply moisturizes the skin. Due to the heaviness of this cream I can only use this at night.

You may ask why this may be needed?
Well some skincare products have ingredients that have a molecular weight that is too large to penetrate the skin and be effective
Can also be used to achieve a thinner consistency for a formulation. It also has humectant properties- which draws the moisture from the surrounding air to the skin.
5- Ethylhexyl Palmitate -A derivative of palm oil lipid and is an ultra-mild, skin smoothing ester.
Overall Thoughts on the Vinoperfect SOS Serum
The Vinosource serum is a light weight texture serum. The appearance of the serum looks almost like milk and appears to be very fluid when moved around in the bottle. I’ve used samples of this serum years ago, but a few months ago I reintroduced the serum into my routine by the way of the SOS Hydration Kit that was gifted to me by Caudalie.
I’ll be honest, what initially excited me about the kit was the Caudalie SOS Hydration Set was the Vinosource SOS Intense Moisturizing Cream. This cream seems to be loved amongst many in the beauty community. After a few uses, I understood why. This cream is pretty thick, which ONLY allows me to use it in my night time skincare routine. The usage of this during the day would be way too heavy. Nonetheless, I still enjoy it and being that I have so many options for PM moisturizers, this one didn’t wow me. But the Vinsource serum did!
This situation makes me think of the saying “You Don't Know What You Have Until It's Gone'. As I mentioned, I’ve tried samples of this serum throughout the years. But having it back into my skincare routine makes me appreciate it more. I typically applied and used this serum as a Hyaluronic Acid Serum in my routine. You may be wondering what’s the difference between this and the run of the mill hyaluronic acids that sell for around $10 or so? This particular serum is fluid, but at the same time thicker than any other H.A that I currently own. The formulation of grape fruit water, glycerin, olive squalane and hyaluronic acid makes a beautiful serum that sinks into the skin without making me look oily.
The Vinosource SoS serum is recommended to be used both morning and night. I found that I enjoyed using it the most during my morning routine alongside my Vitamin C serums. Sometimes I use it at night for an extra boost of hydration. The texture of the serum combines with other serums-whether being thinner or thicker in consistency. After applied and absorbed into my skin, I notice that my skin looks and feel moisturized. I don’t think this serum can take the place of a conventional moisturizer, but I do believe it’s a great addition for those that have dry skin textures or dehydrated skin like myself.
Cons?
My only dislike is that the serum contains parfum/perfume as most Caudalie products do. However, I don’t find the scent to bothersome or to smell like actual body perfume. If you’re highly sensitive to fragrance in your skincare, you may have to pass on this one as fragrance is listed in the middle of the ingredient formula.
The SOS Serum also contains Dimethicone (8th in the list) which is a topic that is often controversial in the skincare community- especially to those that follow strict “clean beauty” measures.
Price
The price of the serum alone is $49. This may be high to some or somewhere in the middle ground for others. I do think that the overall kit of $59 to be worth the price. The kit allowed me to have a mini of my favorite beauty elixir and also try out a decent size mini of the Vinosource Moisturizing cream.
