July Empties '24
Another month of empties! Still attempting to finish up some of my open sunscreens! Out of all of my empties from the month the Briogeo Honey Bear (Don’tDespair Deep Conditioner) is a product that will be missed. I go into detail about it within this post along with everything else that I recently finished.

Innisfree Cherry Blossom Glow Jam Cleanser
Price: $14 for 5.oz
The Cherry Blossom Cleanser is described as a mild gel cleanser that hydrates the skin while gently cleansing. The cleanser starts as a jelly texture and when mixed with water it turned into a foamy texture. I absolutely loved the texture and the consistency added something extra to the cleansing experience. The cleanser has a light cherry blossom scent that smells really pleasant and is not overpowering. I did find the cleanser to be a tad drying, but for my combination oily skin this was actually perfect for the start of the summer. I feel like the cleanser did a great job to almost regulate/reset my skin and help get rid of the excess sebum. Since finishing this tube, Innisfree has updated the packaging on all their products.
Ingredients: WATER / AQUA / EAU, GLYCERIN, SODIUM COCOYL ALANINATE, DISODIUM COCOAMPHODIACETATE, LAURYL HYDROXYSULTAINE, QUILLAJA SAPONARIA BARK EXTRACT, PRUNUS YEDOENSIS LEAF EXTRACT, BETAINE, 1,2-HEXANEDIOL, ACRYLATES/C10-30 ALKYL ACRYLATE CROSSPOLYMER, CAPRYLYL GLYCOL, SODIUM CHLORIDE, COCO-GLUCOSIDE, SODIUM COCOYL ISETHIONATE, SODIUM PHYTATE, PROPANEDIOL, HEXYLENE GLYCOL, CYANOCOBALAMIN, XANTHAN GUM, FRAGRANCE / PARFUM

The Farmacy Whipped Greens Cleanser an oil-free foaming cleanser that helps to cleanse away dirt, oil, and additional sebum from the skin without stripping it. Over the years I’ve gone through several tubes, but if you’re looking for a more extensive review, check out my previous review here - Oct’21 Empties

Allies of Skin Molecular Silk Amino Hydrating Cleanser
Price: $41 for 3.4oz
The Molecular Silk Amino Hydrating Cleanser from Allies of Skin has been one of my favorites for the past few years. But I believe since my last review of it some years back the formula has been reformulated. Being that I’ve tried both of the versions, I can say I’ve noticed much of a difference between the two. I checked over the ingredients for both versions and they’re virtually identical. The reformulated version has 4x the amount of silk amino acids and an extra 10% of active ingredients. The newer version does a great job at cleansing and leaving my skin hydrated. I’m happy to see the reformulation looks and feels the same along with the inclusion of higher percentages of active ingredients.
Review of all of the Allies of Skin Products that I’ve tried -

The DNA Repair Complex has been a staple in my routine for the past year. It’s one of my go to product to use for post acne marks along with cuts and bruises. I also love that the formula helps to keep the barrier of the skin barrier intact. Previously Reviewed - January ‘23 Empties

Jurlique Lavendar Hydrating Mist
Price: $44 for 3.3oz
The Jurlique lavender hydrating face mist was a product I used multiple times a day. Immediately after washing my face, I reached for this face mist to help hydrate my dehydrated skin. It also worked well to calm my skin. According to the Jurlique’s website description, the mist can be used within your skincare and makeup routines. I found the lavender scent to be very calming and not overwhelming. The glass frosted packaging really gave a nice luxury feeling to the experience of using it. Even with using the face mist 2x a day in my routine, the face mist lasted for quite a while. I’m not sure if I would purchase as the price is pretty steep for a hydrating face mist.
Ingredients: Aqua (Water), Polyglyceryl-10 Laurate, Glycerin, Lavandula angustifolia (Lavender) Flower Extract, Althaea officinalis Root Extract, Aloe barbadensis Leaf Extract, Fragrance/Parfum*, Potassium Sorbate, Phenoxyethanol, Ethylhexylglycerin, Sodium Benzoate, Citric Acid, Linalool*, Limonene*. * From Natural Essential Oil (Lavender - Lavandula angustifolia)
Sephora Collection Organic Cotton Pads
Price: $4.50 for 50 pads
These Sephora collection cotton squares are the best affordable cotton pads that I’ve tried! They feel so soft on my skin and 1 cotton square is big enough to use on my entire face. With other cotton squares that I’ve tried, I noticed that they often fall apart or leave particles of the cotton on my face, and these did not. The cotton squares are made with 100% organic cotton fibers and one side is embossed and more textured, while the other side is smooth. There’s something about these that I feel does such a great job at picking up and removing excess sebum and helping to cleanse my skin so well. Since finishing this pack, I’ve already repurchased several more. I think I found a more cost effective and better size for cotton pads compared to the Shisiedo ones that I was using for years.
Price: $4.99
The Essence Lash Primer has been a favorite of mine for years! I used to buy them in two’s because they used to be so hard to find. But now that I know Ulta, usually has them in stock online and in store, I tend to just purchase directly from them. I really see such a difference with how my natural lashes look and feel when this primer is in my routine! As I mentioned prior, this is a holy grail product for me! Top 10 Beauty Products of 2021-

It Cosmetics Hello Sunshine Invisible Sunscreen For Face SPF 50
Price: $35 for 1.7oz
Described as a 3-in-1 that provides skincare benefits (hydrating serum), sunscreen protection and as a makeup primer. The sunscreen has a very light-weight milky fluid like consistency, which applies and absorbs into the skin beautifully. As someone with normal to oily skin, I’m pretty cautious when it comes to trying out new sunscreens during the summer months as I try to avoid looking overly oily. The Hello Sunshine sunscreen is a chemical based sunscreen, so I didn’t have to worry about a white cast being left behind. I really love how well this sunscreen wore on it’s own and underneath my makeup. I feel like this may be one of the reasons why I finished it as soon as I did. I really think this is a sunscreen that would work for most skin types! (Try-on Video —HERE)

Supergoop Glow Oil SPF 50 Dry Body Oil Sunscreen
Price: $40 for 5oz | use code BEAUTYETCBLOG to save 10% on your orders
The Supergoop Glow oil is product that I hardly see anyone talking about and I’m not sure why. The Glow Oil is a non-greasy body oil that provides sunscreen protection and is said to give the skin a glow finish. I really enjoyed using the oil and love that it has a spray applicator as it made it easier to apply to hard to reach areas of the body like my back. The oil itself is more on the light weight side and applied to the skin well. I generally wore it on its own without feeling like I needed an additional body moisturizer with it. The oil itself provides a nice level of sheen to the skin in terms of glow, but I’m happy this one isn’t glory in the sense of having a glittery or sparkly formula. I wish I was able to finish this bottle before it expired!
Ingredients: Avobenzone 3%, Homosalate 10%, Octisalate 5%, Octocrylene 10%, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Alcohol, Octyldodecanol, C12-15 Alkyl Benzoate, Polyester-8, Polyamide-3, Lauryl Lactate, Isodecyl Neopentanoate, Diisopropyl Sebacate, Diethylhexyl Syringylidenemalonate, Tocopherol, Glycine Soja (Soybean) Oil, Vitis Vinifera (Grape) Seed Oil, Raphanus Sativus (Radish) Seed Oil, Limnanthes Alba (Meadowfoam) Seed Oil, Helianthus Annuus (Sunflower) Seed Oil, Cocos Nucifera (Coconut) Oil, Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea) Butter, Argania Spinosa Kernel Oil, Pentaerythrityl Tetra-di-t-butyl Hydroxyhydrocinnamate, Alaria Esculenta Extract, t-Butyl Alcohol, Cucumis Sativus (Cucumber) Fruit Extract, Denatonium Benzoate, Citric Acid.

L’Occitane Almond Delicious Shower Cream
Price: $29 for 6.7oz
The Almond Delicious Shower Cream is formulated with sweet almond oil, which gives it the same scent as their infamous shower oil of vanilla and fresh almond. The incorporation of the sweet almond oil helps to soften and moisturize the skin. The shower cream has a nice level of suds, which helps to add to the experience of using it. Overall, I really love the scent and how soft and hydrated my skin felt after each use. My only con is that I feel like I went through the tube rather quickly, even though I only used it several times a week.

Youth to the People Body Superfood + Niacinamide Body Cleanser with Antioxidants & Hyaluronic Acid (GWP)
Price: Unknown ($39 for 16.4oz)
I received the YTTP mini body cleanser as a gift with purchase from a Sephora order. Being that I haven’t heard much about it, I wasn’t sure what to expect. The scent of the body wash has a very earthy and woody undertone to it and I love it! The body superfood wash is formulated with niacinamide and antioxidants to help even the tone of the skin over time and protect the barrier of the skin. Being that I only had such a small size, I can’t say I was fully able to reap the full benefits of this. From this sample size I was able to upwards of 5-7 uses out of the shower gel. I really like how well the formula suds up, the scent, and how my skin felt after using it. I’m tempted to get this in the full size in the future!

European Wax Center Slow Grow Shea Body Polish
Price: $16.50 for 6.7 oz
The EWC body polish is a body scrub that is formulated to help exfoliate the skin along with slow down the growth of hair. It’s formulated with nourishing ingredients such as shea butter and vitamin e. Their products are aimed to help take care of the skin in between wax treatments. I found the scrub gentle enough to use on my entire body and left my skin feeling moisturized once it was washed away. In terms of the level of grittiness, the scrub to be more on the gentle side. It’s hard to say if I noticed a difference with slow grow feature since my body hair grows pretty sparse and slow, but if its something that will help overtime I’ll gladly keep it in my routine!

The Skin Proud Bright Boost Body cleanser has a foamy consistency and is formulated with key ingredients like Niacinamide, Caffeine, and Hyaluronic Acid. Briogeo Don’t Despair, Repair! Vegan Apple Honey Deep Conditioning Hair Mask
Price: $40 for 8oz
The Briogeo Don’t Despair, Repair Honey Deep Conditioning Mask in the Honey Bear packaging is a limited edition version of Don’t Despair Deep Conditioner. This limited edition verison incorporates honey and apple and I really loved having it in my routine. In comparison to the original version of the Don’t Despair Hair Mask, I feel like this leaves my hair feeling a little softer, easier to manage, and helps to detangle. I do wish this hair mask was sold year round, but it seems to be available around the late fall months moving into winter.

Ouai x Byredo Mojave Ghost Leave-in Conditioner
Price: $30 for 4.7oz
The Byredo Mohave Ghost is one of my favorite scents. So when I saw they had a collaboration with Ouai, I knew I had to try it out for myself, especially since it was a limited edition launch. The deep conditioner is described as a multi-tasking product that helps smooth the hair, reduce frizz and provide heat protection. I more so used this as a heat protectant when I would blow dry my hair. It did a great job at providing heat protectant and leaving my hair feel really soft. I also loved that the leave-in left a lingering scent from the incorporation of Mohave Ghost.

Phlur Tangerine Boy (deluxe mini)
Price: $11.66 (The Endless Summer Trio Retails for $35)
The scent Tangerine Boy is described as energetic citrus scent with notes of apple, sweet jasmine, tangerine, amber, and green moss. I’m usually not a big fan of citrus scents, but this one was more on the sweet side. I really enjoyed this scent for work and just overall for the spring season. I do agree that the scent is uplighting, but not overpowering and I think this made it suitable for so many different occasions.
Price: $15 for the travel size
The Sugar Berry scent from Good Chemistry was my first introduction to the brand. This is not a typical scent that I would go for since the scent is very much on the sweeter side and smells more like a fruity bath and body works type of scent. I do think the scent last longer than BBW. I more so reached for this scent for errands and to wear for workouts.
Notes: freesia, raspberry, and vanilla
